Parliamentary delegation of Moldova agreed with Russian colleagues on bilateral relations development
Parliamentary delegation of Moldova, lead by the chairman of the faction of Communist Party (PCRM), Eugenia Ostapciuc, had in Moscow many meetings with the deputies of Russian government.
A communiqué of the parliament reports about the meetings with the vice-chairman of the Committee for economic policy, entrepreneurship and tourism, A. Lihaciov, prime vice-chairman of the faction „Edinaia Rossia”, V. Bogomolov, with the deputy group of government for relations with Moldova, lead by deputy A. Moscalet. According to Eugenia Ostapciuc, the meetings were held in a friendly and sincere environment, and Modovan deputies presented to their colleagues from Russia objective and concrete information on different items regarding the cooperation relations between both countries. It was especially emphasized the necessity to solve appropriately and civilized the problem of eastern districts of Moldova, to promote agricultural production, as well as the problem of wine production supplies on Russian market. It was made the conclusion during the meetings that solving of these issues cannot be adjourned anymore.
The report does not include details, including on the goal announced by the delegation of Moldovan parliamentarians to solve the wine crisis, which affects the economy and society of Moldova, starting 27 March 2006, when Russia banned Moldovan wines imports.
