Parliamentary commission of inquiry into April 2009 events will not present its report tomorrow

The Parliament's Standing Bureau decided not to include the examination of the report of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into the April 2009 events in the agenda of the April 23 sitting of the legislative body. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the commission's chairman Vitalie Nagacevschi said he does not know the reasons for such a decision. Vitalie Nagacevschi said the report is being finalized and the lack of the foreign experts' conclusion as regards the video evidence has no connection with the postponement. The parliamentary commission questioned representatives of the power and Opposition leaders and analyzed the performance of the authorities during the April events. At the sitting on April 23, the MPs are to adopt the procedure for restoring the Declaration of Independence of Moldova and modifications to the law on nonworking days and holidays.
