Parliamentary alliance will not take part in debate on no-confidence motion

The MPs who form part of the parliamentary alliance consider the no-confidence motion submitted by the Socialist, Communist and Liberal-Democratic MPs represents an unserious approach and will thus not take part in the debate on this. “We consider this is a cynical approach because the signatories of the no-confidence motion include MPs who are investigated in the case of Banca de Economii (BEM) and who were indirect beneficiaries of the theft committed at this bank,” says a statement issued by the alliance, quoted by IPN.

According to the parliamentary alliance, criticizing the government for wanting to solve a problem generated by the signatories of the motion is a proof of demagogy in relation to the population of the Republic of Moldova.

The statement says the Government, by assuming responsibility for the adopted laws, does nothing but unblock the country’s economy and fulfill the commitments agreed with the IMF for starting reforms and remedying the situation in Moldova, for strengthening the financial-banking sector and filling the gaps caused including with the involvement of the signatories of the motion.

“We remind everyone of the deeds committed by the PLDM before this Government had to assume responsibility. The MPs of this party actually allowed the disaster to happen at the BEM when administering directly this bank in 2009-2014, creating the scheme that enabled to rob this bank,” says the statement.

The statement also says that the MPs of the PSRM and PCRM represent parties whose representatives contributed to working out the first scheme by which the stealing at the BEM began in 2005.

The Parliament sitting to debate the no-confidence motion takes place on October 3, starting at 12 noon.
