The Parliament’s Public Relations Division said that no sitting of the legislative body was scheduled for today, January 14. The clarification was made following reports that a sitting will take place today, IPN reports.

“Given that Parliament every time ensured transparency and showed openness to inform the public opinion, we ask the mass media to follow the official information,” the Public Relations Division said.

During a protest staged by the “Our Party” in front of the Parliament Building, the party’s leader Renato Usatyi said that at 2pm the legislative body will hold a closed sitting to vote and dismiss President Nicolae Timofti.
