Parliament votes again on bill that equals parliamentary factions and groups

The MPs who do not form part of a parliamentary group will be able to any time form a parliamentary faction. A bill to this effect was again adopted by Parliament on July 7, IPN reports.

The changes made by law to the Parliament’s Regulations institutionalize the parliamentary factions consisting of at least five independent and/or unaffiliated MPs and give them the same rights and obligations as those for parliamentary groups.

The bill was put again to the vote after President Igor Dodon refused to promulgate the law.

The parliamentary factions will benefit from working areas, equipment and stationery and from services needed for their activity as well as from an annual budget approved by Parliament, depending on the numerical representation of the faction.
