Parliament has put in place measures to optimize and save electricity and heat consumption. Thus, the interior lighting of the building will be reduced by at least 30 percent, where possible, whereas the decorative and architectural lighting was turned off, IPN reports.
At the same time, the MPs and employees of the Parliament's Secretariat were urged to avoid using elevators and to opt for the use of stairs, to switch off electrical appliances and equipment that do not require a permanent operating regime.
Likewise, in order to save thermal energy, the temperature in the building will be adjusted to values lower than 19°C.
Currently, the MPs are on vacation. The Parliament's spring session starts in February.
