The report of the commission of inquiry into the situation in the financial-banking sector will be presented in Parliament on March 24. The MPs will tomorrow decide if the sitting will be open to the public or will be held behind closed doors, IPN reports.
After the meeting of the Parliament’s Standing Bureau, Liberal-Democratic MP Valeriu Strelet said that the commission’s report was distributed to the MPs and they are to decide what can be made public and what should be kept secret.
The lawmaker noted that tomorrow the legislative body will also examine the Government’s proposal to extend the moratorium on Banca de Economii so that the shareholders do not withdraw their assets for another eight months as this will rid the bank of additional pressure.
