Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu requested the commission on culture, education, youth, sport and mass media and the legal commission for appointments and immunities to initiate a contest to choose three members of the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC), IPN reports.
The request was made in the April 13 sitting of Parliament in connection with the expiration of the terms in office of the current BCC chairman Dinu Ciocan and of members Mariana Onceanu-Hadarca and Nicolae Damaskin, who were named to posts in 2011.
