A new extraordinary session of Parliament will take place on January 24. The decision was taken by the Standing Bureau, at the request of the Communist faction, IPN reports.
The Communist lawmakers asked that the session should last for two days so as to stage hearings on the situation in the mass media sector and on the local taxes.
The January 20 extraordinary session of Parliament, convened at the request of the Communist MPs, failed because the quorum was not present. The factions of the government coalition refused to take part in the sitting, arguing not the Communists are those who should speak about democracy as during the eight years while in power they didn’t respect the freedom of the media.
