Parliament will assemble in an extraordinary session on Thursday and Friday. Notably, it will hear the Government’s request to institute a state of emergency for 30 days in connection with the gas crisis.
Speaker Igor Grosu told reporters this is the only item on Thursday’s agenda.
On Friday, the legislature will examine 15 legislative proposals. Some of them are left over from the previous session and are related to international agreements, including one with the International Monetary Fund. Other legislation concerns the Prosecution Service and the Financial Market Supervisory Commission.
