The last spring-summer plenary sitting of the Parliament of Moldova will be held on July 27. A decision to this effect was adopted by the Standing Bureau of the Parliament on Tuesday, July 10. The last sitting will be a solemn one, at which the leaders of the factions will deliver speeches. Speaker Marian Lupu will draw the conclusion of the Parliament’s activity for the period of the current session. President Vladimir Voronin is also expected deliver a speech at the final sitting. The spring-summer session of the parliament of Moldova started on February 8, 2007. The Moldovan MPs interrupted their legislative activity for a period of two weeks in May, due to the election campaign for the 3 local general elections.
