Parliament to discharge prosecutor general and announce post of central bank governor vacant

The MPs on Friday will dismiss Valeriu Gurbulea as prosecutor general on the basis of his resignation tendered on September 25. The Parliament will also declare the post of governor of the National Bank vacant as the seven-year-term in office of Leonid Talmaci expired, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the agenda formulated by the Parliament's Standing Bureau, which has not yet been approved by the MPs, Speaker Mihai Ghimpu's nephew Corneliu Ghimp is the candidate for central bank governor. The MPs will be also informed about the situation in agriculture and economy, while the members of Moldova's delegation to the PACE will render a report.
