Parliament to convene Monday on Communists' request

Parliament will assemble Monday for an extraordinary meeting following a request submitted by the Communist Party and approved by Parliament's Standing Committee today. Speaker Igor Corman is yet to give his signature to formally convoke the lawmakers.

Parliament's spokesperson Svetlana Ursu has told IPN the order of the day contains a sole issue, that of the situation of mass media in Moldova. The meeting will most likely start at 10:00AM.

The first ordinary meeting of the spring/summer session after Parliament's winter recess is scheduled for February 3
