Parliament to assemble on September 27 and 28
The first plenary meetings of Parliament's fall/winter session will be held on September 27 and 28, as decided today by the legislative's Standing Bureau, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Speaker Marian Lupu said that the orders of the day haven't been yet determined, so the Standing Bureau will have to meet again on September 26.
Also today the Standing Bureau rejected by a 8 to 4 vote the Communist Party's request to convene an extraordinary meeting.
Communist MP Iurie Muntean stated that the PCRM will continue its struggle and renew its requests for an extraordinary sitting to set the date of a referendum on the Russia-Belrus-Kazakhstan Customs Union. Iurie Muntean added that the ruling coalition should admit that sooner or later Moldova will join this Union.
The Communist Party submitted two such requests to date. Both were rejected.
