Parliament Speaker: Very strange things happen in Transnistria

Very strange things happen in Transnistria. Dozens of trucks without signs transport ammunitions and armament from the storehouse in Cobasna to unknown destinations, Speaker of Parliament Andrian Candu was quoted by IPN as saying in the talk show “Farika” on Publika TV channel.

According to him, any attempt by the Joint Control Commission and by Moldovan officers to find out what’s going on and to stop the moves failed. “When the agreements are not respected, moves of such a kind are made. We realize in what situation we are when we speak about the country’s security,” stated Andrian Candu.

He noted there are elements related to what is called a hybrid war, in terms of cyberattacks, propaganda, energy systems, Russia’s threats concerning the supply of gas and electricity to Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia. Andrian Candu also spoke about the activities of special and intelligence services on Moldova’s territory. “That’s why we make effort to identity solutions in concert. We already agreed a number of solutions at regional level between Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova in our cooperation,” said the Speaker.

Referring to the Eastern Partnership, Andrian Candu said the EU reprioritized the foreign policy subjects and the Republic of Moldova should “struggle” to continue to have a leading place on the list of states to which the EU directs its attention.
