The Speaker of Parliament Zinaida Grechanyi was confirmed with the novel coronavirus. The Parliament’s Secretariat was informed about this on October 19, IPN reports.

The Parliament’s General Communication and Public Relations Division said the Speaker is receiving treatment at home, under the supervision of the family doctor.

Under an ordinance made by the Parliament Speaker, the members of Parliament of the tenth legislature must self-isolate at home until they present a COVID-19 negative test result.

Earlier, a number of MPs announced that they were confirmed with the novel coronavirus. The last time the legislative body sat on September 11.
