Parliament returns after winter recess tomorrow

Parliament tomorrow will assemble for its first meeting of the ordinary spring-summer session, as decided by its Standing Bureau.

Among the first issues to be considered is the confirmation of a number of appointees, including for the post of National Anticorruption Center Director and People’s Advocate, among others.

The draft Railway Code and amendments to the Law on Electricity will be heard in the second reading. A number of other legislative proposals will be debated in the first reading.

The Moldovan Parliament has two ordinary sessions a year. The spring-summer one begins in February and must be completed no later than July. Parliament returns after summer recess in September and holds its autumn-winter session until December the latest.
