The Republic of Moldova will borrow €92.1 million loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) to stabilize and grow the national economy. Parliament ratified the loan agreement, IPN reports.
The €92.1 million loan will be accompanied by a US$25 million grant offered in the form of budget support. The loan is repayable in 21 years and has a grace period of three years at a variable interest rate. The commitment fee is 0.25% of the undisbursed loan amount. The one-time charge is 0.25% of the loan. The loan and the grant are to be disbursed in one tranche.
The financing agreement with the IBRD for implementing the Moldova Emergency Response, Resilience, and Competitiveness Development Policy Operation 2 program was signed on June 9, 2023.
