The Moldovan Parliament has ratified an agreement with Romania on the mutual recognition of diplomas, certificates and scientific titles issued by the education institutions of both countries.

The agreement also includes provisions for the mutual recognition of education documents obtained before Moldova’s accession to the Bologna Process, i.e. when pupils graduated from school after completing 10 or 11 classes, instead of 12 today.

There are also special provisions for the mutual recognition of diplomas and certificates obtained on completion of postgraduate studies, postgraduate specialization studies and postgraduate training courses issued in both signatory states.

The agreement is concluded for a period of five years and is automatically extended for periods of one year.
