Parliament opens doors to visitors May 29

The Parliament Building will be opened to all those interested on May 29. The persons will be able to see three exhibitions centering on the legislative body and to take part in a tour guided by Speaker Igor Grosu together with other MPs, IPN reports.

The guided tour will cover the Parliament Building’s halls, including the assembly hall, Europa hall, the Parliament’s Museum and the press conference room.

The exhibition hosted by the Museum and mounted by the Parliament’s Archive in partnership with the National Archives Agency will present documents and images about the People’s Council. The second exhibition will present graphics and paintings of the Parliament’s Building made by architect students of the Moldova Technical University. The third exhibition will contain photos by MP Vasile Șoimaru, which were included in the album “33 + 3 + 3 poems in images”.

An area for discussions between citizens and MPs, a space for interactive activities for children and a photo zone will be set up in the square of the Parliament’s Building.

The visitors are expected to come between 1am and 5pm with IDs on them.

Today, the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova celebrants the 32nd anniversary of its founding. In the period, the legislative body adopted over 13,500 legal acts and held 1,914 plenary sittings.
