Parliament officials learn international diplomatic protocol
Twenty officials of the Parliament of Moldova are attending a training course in international diplomatic protocol. The course forms part of the Support to Strengtehning the Administrative and Political Capacity of the Parliament of Moldova component of the joint Democracy Support Program between the Council of Europe and the European Union, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Council of Europe.
The two-day training course focuses on international etiquette, protocol of diplomatic visits and official delegations, presentation of gifts, international flags, anthems and ceremonies. The participants will be familiarized with an international protocol book in the official language. The course is taught by diplomat Dusa Vidanovich, director general of the European School of Protocol.
The Democracy Support Program in Moldova has seven components. With a total budget of €4 million, the project will run until July 2011.
