Parliament has four new members

Ghenadie Verdeș was elected MP on behalf of the PDM group, Galina Sajin and Vasile-Andrei Năstase on behalf of the ACUM bloc DA PAS and Vitalii Evtodiev on behalf of the Socialist Party group. During a meeting held on Thursday, October 31, the Constitutional Court validated the mandates of the four substitute candidates.

Ghenadie Verdeș won the elections in the uninominal constituency number 17, where new parliamentary elections were held because former PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc, who was elected MP on February 24, resigned.

Galina Sajin won the elections in the uninominal electoral district number 50 in the west of the Republic of Moldova, after the PAS leader, Maia Sandu, resigned in June in order to become prime minister.

Vasile-Andrei Năstase won the elections in the uninominal constituency number 33, a district that was previously won on February 24 by the PPPDA leader Andrei Năstase. The latter, following the establishment of the ACUM-PSRM governing coalition, became minister of the interior and deputy prime minister.

Vitalii Evtodiev won the elections in the uninominal constituency number 48, which includes the town of Slobozia, the municipalities of Tiraspol and Bender, after Viorel Melnic, the independent candidate who won the elections in February, resigned from office.

The new parliamentary elections were held on October 20 in conjunction with the general local elections.
