The legislative body could come together for an extraordinary session on August 16-17. The reason for calling such a session hasn’t been made public yet.
“There are such discussions, but they are informal. When the Speaker of Parliament orders to convoke a session, we will make an announcement,” sources in the Parliament’s Communication and Public Relations Division have told IPN.
The legislature has two ordinary sessions a year – the spring session in February-July and the autumn session in September-December. Outside ordinary sessions, Parliament can have extraordinary or special sessions convened at the request of the President, Speaker or 1/3 of the MPs.
