A charity exhibition was mounted in the Parliament Building before the Easter holidays for helping children with severe disabilities from Ialoveni district. The proceeds will go to develop vocational workshops designed to offer assistance to children of the inclusive education unit of the Theoretical Lyceum “Petre Ștefănucă”, IPN reports.
The exhibition entitled “The Beauty in the Eyes of Children” contains works centering on Easter, such as wax candles and paintings made by hand and with a lot of dedication by students of the inclusive education unit of the Theoretical Lyceum “Petre Ștefănucă” based in Ialoveni town. The 25 children with severe disabilities, who come from either localities of Ialoveni district, guided by their parents and support teachers, made the works at the vocational workshops they attend at the institution.
The event is staged with the aim of sensitizing the people to the difficulties faced by the persons with disabilities and of supporting these.
The Theoretical Lyceum “Petre Ștefănucă” in Ialoveni is attended by 1,105 students who are taught by 71 teachers. The first units for the inclusion of children with severe disabilities were created at the institution 11 years ago.
The exhibition can be visited until April 21.
