Parliament assembles on Thursday for first plenary meeting of autumn session

Parliament will come together on Thursday for the first plenary meeting of the autumn session, starting at 11:00. Tomorrow’s agenda was approved at today’s meeting of the Standing Bureau.

The lawmakers will examine in the first reading the draft law on the labeling of products with energy impact and the legislative proposal to facilitate the development of energy infrastructure projects.

Also, Parliament is going to designate the construction of road R34.4, connecting Leova to the border with Romania, as well as of the border crossing and related infrastructure, a work of public interest.

Also included on the agenda are legislative amendments aimed at improving taxi services and the amendment of the Code on Science and Innovation. The MPs will also examine legislative initiatives regarding the granting of tax and customs facilities for some projects.

At the same time, the Parliament is to examine the draft decisions regarding the appointment to office of some members of the Superior Council of Magistracy and the termination of the membership and vice-president of the Board of Directors of the National Commission of the Financial Market.

The fall session officially began on September 4.
