Parliament approves new IDs for Supreme Court judges
Parliament on Friday approved a new form of ID cards for judges at the Supreme Court of Justice, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Communist MP Sergiu Sirbu proposed Parliament to exclude the following text on the verso of the card: “Judges of courts of law, under Article 116 of the Constitution of Moldova, are independent, impartial and immutable”, arguing that such texts do not appear on the cards of parliamentarians and other dignitaries. The proposal was accepted unanimously.
The motion introducing the new ID cards was endorsed without opposition. The cards will be issued by the Supreme Court of Justice.
