Parliament appoints four members to Administration Board of CNPF

The Parliament on Friday appointed four members out of five to the Administration Board of the National Financial Market Commission (CNPF). Mihai Cibotaru was appointed as the president of the board for a period of four years, Aurica Doina – as vice president for three years, Vladimir Morari – as member for three years and Alexandru Puscas – as member for a period of two years. Speaker Marina Lupu announced that a person who had to be appointed as member – Vitalie Lungu – renounced for personal reasons. The fifth member office of the Administration Board will be decided later. Once the new members were appointed other four members of the CNPF were dismissed. The appointment of the aforementioned persons was not supported by the majority of opposition MPs. Ion Gutu, MP on behalf of “Moldova Noastra” Alliance said that that Vitalie Lungu, who has withdrawn his candidacy, is the only person who has experience in the field, thus the capital market was left in the hands of “God knows who”. Gutu said also that the appointed persons are not professionals and they will only execute orders. Communist MP Nicoale Bondarciuc denied the accusations, saying that the team is well prepared and will observe the legislation. According to the law, each member of the Administration Council of the National Financial Market Commission has the right to two mandates in a row.
