The administration of Parliament and the Government met on September 11 to coordinate the agendas of the legislature and executive and to set the priorities, especially those related to the implementation of the Association Agreement, IPN reports.
After the meeting, Head of Parliament Andrian Candu said that this was a first meeting of the kind and it was aimed at synchronizing the agendas of the two institutions. “We spoke about technical issues related to the work of the permanent commission and ministries so that there is cooperation and a much more efficient dialogue,” stated the Speaker.
Prime Minister Valeriu Strelet said there was underlined the fact that the speed of the legislative process will be permanently increased or at least the flow of bills that come and will yet come to the Government will be a continuous one. “We already set all the benchmarks. We have the updated plan of action for implementing the Association Agreement and the Government’s plan of action. The Government works rhythmically. We already sent a list of 33 bills that are to be examined as matters of urgency,” said the Premier.
Valeriu Strelet noted that the major bills refer to the energy sector, the justice sector reform, corruption fighting and integration of the national minorities. The Law on the Prosecution Service is to be passed in the second reading.
The autumn session of the legislature starts next week.
