Head of Parliament Igor Corman said that in the discussions with Prime Minister Iurie Leanca they found the only legal solution for overcoming the situation when bills of major importance remained unadopted by Parliament. Thus, the Government will assume political responsibility for these bills, IPN reports.
Igor Corman Monday said they reviewed the important bills that weren’t included in the agendas of the meetings of the competent commissions and thus they do not have the reports of these commissions.
Under the Parliament’s Regulations, the Government can assume responsibility for a program, general political statement or draft organic or ordinary laws before Parliament. The assumption of political responsibility before Parliament is declared by a Government decision that is presented in Parliament.
Within 72 hours of the assumption of political responsibility by the Government, if at least ¼ of the MPs do not submit a censure motion against the Government or if the censure motion is rejected, the program, general political statement or draft organic or ordinary laws are consisted adopted and are to be implemented by the Government. Iurie Leanca is expected to come to Parliament on July 22 to announce the assumption of political responsibility by the Government for a number of bills.
