Parliament agrees priority bills for second half of session

The legislative body set the priorities for the second half of the spring-summer session. Among them is the adoption of the strategy for reforming the prosecution service and the initiation of debates on bills concerning financing of political parties and election campaigns, IPN reports, quoting a communiqué from Parliament.

The priority bills were agreed in a working meeting called by Head of Parliament Igor Corman with the heads of standing commissions and parliamentary groups.

Among the priorities for the current spring-summer session is also the adjustment of the national legislation to the European one and the country’s modernization, including the ratification of the Association Agreement that is to be signed at the end of June.

The Government submitted 45 bills to Parliament for adoption and will soon put forward another 8.

The date of the next plenary sitting of Parliament will be decided in the May 7 meeting of the Standing Bureau.
