Parliament of Moldova adopted on Thursday, 9 March a statement „About artificial climbing of the Transnistrian sequence of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border”, expressing its concern about the dangerous evolution of the situation in Transnistrian region of the country. „For a long period, illegal regime of Tiraspol blocks deliberately any constructive action of Moldova, as well as of the other participants to negotiation process, actions directed towards the peaceful and definite solving of the Transnistrian conflict,” according to declaration. „We, the deputies, representing different categories of population and different political forces, condemn the subversive actions of the authorities of Tiraspol, directed against the constructive efforts of Moldova, Ukraine, European Union and USA to legalise the economic activity of the eastern district of the country and to liquidate of the criminal composition of this activity.” Moldovan parliamentarians consider last statements of separatist leaders as „deliberate misrepresentation of constructive initiatives of Moldova, of other participants to negotiation process”. Parliament of Chisinau expressed his regret that these affirmations are not appreciated appropriately by Russian Federation, which, according to declaration, is „partner with authority in negotiation process”, and warn that the aim of this regime is to legalise territorial dissection of Moldova, transforming the astern region into a ghetto. The deputies also consider that the population of the enclave is used as alive shield to cover the criminal businesses of certain persons. Parliament of Moldova underlines that the whole responsibility for recent dangerous developments of the region is of separatist leaders of Tiraspol and „their abroad protectors”. Moldovan legislative is convinced that the peaceful process of regulating Transnistrian problem has no alternative and in order to get this goal, it counts on understanding and support of international community. On 3 March, Ukraine introduced the regime regarding transit of Transnistrian goods at Moldovan-Ukrainian border is done on the basis of the customs specimens of Moldova. Unrecognised authorities of Tiraspol considered this action as economic blockade, statement supported by officials of Moscow. Russia sent a delegation in Transnistria, without Chisinau’s agreement, to analyse the situation. On 7 March, separatis leader ofa Tiraspol announced about the withdrawal of the negotiation process format„5+2”. On the other hand, EU and USA welcomed Ukraine’s decision to implement the new regime. Russian government shall discuss this item on Friday.
