The MPs accepted the resignation tendered by MP of the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) Igor Talmazan, who a month ago was named head of the Customs Service. A draft decision on the vacation of the seat of MP was adopted by Parliament on October 7, IPN reports.
According to the list of substitute candidates for MP, the parliamentary group of PAS will be joined by Vitali Gavrouc, a musician by profession who settled in the Russian Federation. The pianist works for the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory.
The seat of MP is incompatible with such posts as the office of President of the Republic of Moldova, member of Cabinet, ombudsperson and local elected official and with any other paid post, including a position in a foreign state or an international organization, except for teaching and scientific activity carried out outside the set program.
