The MPs took cognizance of the resignation tendered by Liliana Palihovici from the post of Deputy Speaker, which she had held for seven years, and from that of Member of Parliament. The vacated seat will be occupied by the next substitute candidate on the list of the Liberal Democratic Party, IPN reports.

Liliana Palihovici announced her intention to leave the seat of MP in the April 28 sitting. In her speech in Parliament, she said it was for the first time that she felt she could not cope with the situation owing to political cruising. Liliana Palihovici noted that politics in Moldova is based on narrow interests, not on principles and values, as some assert.
