The Chisinau municipality will create parking lots on Pushkin street, on the segment between Cosmonautilor and Alexandru cel Bun streets, by the pattern used on Gheorghe Asachi str. The works have already started, Veaceslav Tarna, the Public Transport Direction chief told the Monday sitting of the City Hall, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The traffic won't be affected in any way. The works will allow drivers to run in both directions,” Veaceslav Tarna said. It is still not known when the works are going to end . Veaceslav Tarna says they will be executed rapidly, because the area is rather crowded. The works on Pushkin str. will be assessed later. General Mayor Dorin Chirtoaca asks to plan parking lots for other streets where jams appear because vehicles parked right on the road. He also has asked the Transport Direction to get involved in revamping the access ways in the lower areas of the city, which were affected the most by the recent floods. The revamp works on Inculet street also started on Monday. According to officials, the water-supply grid in that area is faulty and needs repeated interventions. Because of the water leakages from the aqueduct, the road cannot be repaired . Veaceslav Tarna specified the area on Inculet str. did have rain drainage grid.
