Parinteste.md platform on child care launched in Chisinau

A platform on child protection and care intended for parents and specialists was launched in Chisinau. parinteste.md contains information about how to look after children aged between 0 and 17, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection said the new online resource comes to support the development of parents’ and families’ capacities to raise and look after children. Besides the informational content designed by teachers, psychologists and other specialists in the field, the platform enables the users to directly interact with the team of psychotherapists who are ready to answer individual questions in real time.

“One of my expectations of this platformă is that it will empower parents and those who look after children to fulfill the not at all easy mission of raising and looking after children. I also want this to become an instrument that will encourage fathers to become more involved in child care by offering relevant information from credible sources. Given the great importance we attach to the support for families with children, we are now working on a project to provide the childbirth allowance and child benefit in a proactive way, without the beneficiaries asking for them,” said Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu.

The digital platform was created by CCF Moldova in the framework of the HOPE project that is financed by the European Union, the Austrian Development Agency and Caritas Austria.
