Parents leaving country shall notify authorities about their children
The parents leaving the country to work abroad shall notify the authorities about their minor children remaining in Moldova. The certificate shall be issued by the body in charge with the children's protection from the district where the parents reside. In Chisinau, the paper will be issued by the Children's Rights Protection Division and it will be valid 3 months, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The regulation on issuing the certificate, adopted by the Government on April 8, establishes that the parents shall submit an application and a set of documents.
In case the child stays with one of the parents, the applicant shall provide documents proving the capacity of the remaining parent to take care of the child, as provided by the Family Code.
If the child is to remain in the country without a legal representative, the child protecting authority shall specify, in the issued certificate, the form of protection the child will benefit from, as for instance lodging the child in an boarding school temporarily.
