A National Parents Forum will be organized in Moldova for the first time, by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family. Parents from all over the country will take part in the event that will center on problems confronting the families, IPN reports.

The aim of the event is to sensitize the parents to the necessity of ensuring safe and decent living conditions for their children and of joining the efforts of the authorities and families in educating a healthy generation. The event will involve families with many children and with disabled children, adoptive families, family-type children’s homes, families of professional parent assistants, and specialists from the field.

Elena Capatana, head of the Ministry’s press service, has told IPN that the forum is organized within the annual festival ”Family”. “We hope that this forum will be useful to parents and will be continued the next years,” she stated.

Within the forum, there will be mounted an exhibition of children’s works themed “From soul to soul”. There will be exhibited works of children from 16 community centers of Chisinau municipality.

At the end of the meeting, the participants will adopt the Resolution of the National Parents Forum. The event takes place at the Interethnic Relations Bureau on April 27, starting at 11.00.
