The police on November 25 carried out 15 searches at the homes and in the cars of 11 persons who form part of a paramilitary criminal group operating in northern Moldova. According to the General Police Inspectorate, the goal of the group was to stage an armed attack on state institutions, IPN reports.
The Inspectorate said the suspects are investigated within a criminal case started a month ago over creation and management of an illegal group.
Contacted by IPN, the Inspectorate’s press service refused to provide other details, saying a news conference will be given at 11am on November 26 to make public more information.
