Panpipe player Gheorghe Zamfir for the first time in Great National Assembly Square
On Sunday, August 31, the great panpipe player Gheorghe Zamfir will perform in the Great National Assembly Square for the first time. The recital will be given on the occasion of the Our Language national holiday. Gheorghe Zamfir will be accompanied by “Lautarii” orchestra conducted by Nicolae Botgros. The performance will start at 17.00, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The celebrations on August 31 will start with the laying of flowers to the Monument to Ruler Stephan the Great and Holy. A program for children will be held in the “Stephan the Great” Public Garden starting at 10.00. A concert by the municipal orchestra of Advahov brothers, Zinaida Julea, Doina Sulac and Igor Cuciuc will start at 14.00.
The International Book Fair will be opened at the National Library, while the Exhibition Center “Constantin Brancusi” will host a contest-exhibition of plastic arts.
“Mugurel” orchestra, Ana Barbu, Olga Ciolacu, Mihai Ciobanu, Maria Sarabas, Silvia Gradinaru, Constantin Rotaru will give a performance in the evening. Natalia Barbu, Geta Burlacu, Iurie Sadovnic, Adrian Ursu, Catharsis, Pavel Stratan, Studio One, Catalin Josan and others will also participate in the concert dedicated to the Our Romanian Language holiday.
The festivities in Chisinau will start on Friday. For August 29 and 30, the municipal authorities planned a cultural program titled “Evenings on the Classics’ Alley”. On this occasion, recitals will be given in the “Stephan the Great” Public Garden starting at 19.00. On Saturday, August 30, it will be ten years of the opening of Alba-Iulia library. Guests from Romania have been invited to the celebrations.
