Pan Halippa Street from the Center district of the Capital could be closed for transport, from June 1 to September 1, as result of the reconstruction and re-measurement works. The interim head of Construction Department (DCC), Tudor Gnaciuc, informed that it was required to close the street starting June 1 on the portion between the Ministry of Health and street A. Mateevici, where the mentioned works will be done. In order to enlarge the street certain construction will be demolished. Gnaciuc also noted that until May 20there will be finished the street designing project and estimated the total cost of the construction. In the Chisinau Municipality Development Project, there are foreseen for reconstruction of the Pan Halippa street 27 million lei, even if the estimated cost showed 50 million lei. The new street will have 6 traffic lanes – three to the Telecentru district and three heading downtown. Now the traffic is in one way. The reconstruction works between the Ministry of Health and A. Mateevici street will finish in August.
