Palanca Jointly Operated Border Crossing Point was inaugurated

The exchange of information between the Border Police of the Republic of Moldova and the State Border Service of Ukraine will be faster and more efficient with the opening of Palanca jointly operated border crossing point. The specification was made in a press release of the Border Police, which also mentioned that the inauguration of Palanca jointly operated border crossing point took place on September 6, IPN reports.

The exchange of information through the jointly operated border crossing point located on the territory of the Moldovan-Ukrainian common border at Palanca - Maiaki Udobnoe will be done for persons and vehicles crossing the border, in the event of emergency situations in the border area and violations of or attempts to violate the legislation of the two states, is noted in the statement.

"In this regard, it will contribute greatly to combating illegal migration, human trafficking, but also forgery of travel documents," the statement said.

In the inauguration of Palanca jointly operated border crossing point took part managers of border control institutions from the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, representatives of the International Organization for Migration mission to Moldova and of the EU Delegation to the Republic of Moldova.
