Paintings by Moldovan children exhibited at ECHR

An exhibition entitled “Justice, I see you like this”, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the ratification by Moldova of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, is opened at the head office of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasburg on September 14. The event is staged in cooperation with Moldova’s Permanent Representative Office to the Council of Europe, IPN reports, with reference to the National Institute of Justice.

The exhibit includes a series of paintings made by Moldovan children aged between 11 and 17, which show the authors’ perception of justice. The paintings that will be displayed in Strasbourg competed in the national plastic arts contest with the same title that was held during January 27 - May 31, 2017.

The goal of the event was to inform students about the role and importance of justice in society and to support the children’s interest in self-determination through plastic arts. The winners were chosen based on such criteria as originality, creativity and use of artistic techniques.
