The paintings of 12 plastic artists from five states were exhibited at the Gallery “Artelit” of the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich” on February 28 and can be seen until March 15. The exhibition entitled “Spring Reflections” was mounted as part of the Martsishor fete celebrated on March 1, IPN reports.
The exhibition includes 36 works that convey the spring atmosphere as this is seen by painters from Finland, Sweden, Romania, Ukraine, and Moldova.
Elvira Cemortan-Voloshin, head of the Cultural Center “Artelit”, reminded that the International Music Festival “Martsishor” starts in Chisinau on March 1. Many of the concerts within the festival will be housed by the National Philharmonic. The spectators will be able to admire the exhibited paintings before and after the concerts. “We are very glad that these works of art could be seen by many people,” stated Elvira Cemortan-Voloshin.
Svetlana Bivol, director of the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich”, noted that even if it’s cold outside, spring comes through this exhibition as these paintings warm up souls. “The paintings emanate light and spring moods. They inspire us all and motivate us to be nice. The interesting projects change lives. They change us and society,” said Svetlana Bivol.
Stela Ciobanu, secretary general of the commercial bank “Mobiasbancă – Groupe Societe Generale”, said that during several years the institution she represents has been the partner of a number of activities staged by the National Philharmonic. The bank also cooperates with companies that promote arts and the beauty. “It already became a tradition to cultivate love for culture. A part of these exhibits will also be displayed in the central office of our bank. Our employees, partners and customers will be able to relish the beauty of these paintings and will enjoy spring,” she stated.
The exhibition “Spring Reflections” can be visited daily until March 15. Entrance is free of charge.
