Painter Mihai Mungiu exhibits his works at OSCE Mission in Chisinau

A personal exhibition by the fine artist Mihai Mungiu was inaugurated in the quarters of the OSCE Mission in Chisinau on Friday. It will be on display during one month. The author said the expo contained 54 works he worked on for several years. The artist says he has a passion for art, nature, people and life, Info-Prim Neo reports. The landscapes prevail in his exhibition presenting locations from Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. According to the fine artist Gheorghe Vrabie, Mihai Mungiu is a master of static nature and landscapes, who carefully uses all the existing chromatic scope. “He has an unusual style of working. He takes into account the development of fine arts, of their historical and aesthetic aspects. He is an artist respecting the nature, and his paintings are as poems dedicated to the nature's and life's beauty,” Gheorghe Vrabie said. “I am concerned with the color. I feel it necessary that any work has a decorative, interesting aspect, full of meanings,” Mihai Mungiu explains. Born on December 4 , 1950, in Puhaceni village, Mihai Mungiu graduated the republican fine arts school “Ilya Repin” from Chisinau and the Fine Arts Faculty Institute from Kyiv. The paintings may be bought for 200-1,500 euros.
