The Democratic Action Party (PAD) detaches itself from the sterile political battles and image games conducted in Parliament, the party’s leader Mihai Godea said in a press briefing on November 2, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mihai Godea said he warned about the dangers posed by the internal interest and vainglory battles inside the ruling alliance on May 3. “I warned about the danger of the PLDM and PCRM becoming closer and we may witness cooperation between one of the components of the alliance and the parliamentary opposition. Our efforts were aimed at stopping this cancer, issuing warnings to society and the political parties and suggesting solutions for overcoming the crisis and strengthening the alliance,” said the head of the PAD. He also said that the Democrats’ decision to initiate private discussions with the Communist leaders in reaction to the PLDM’s behavior was the worst response that could be given. “Even the PL managed to cooperate with the PCRM in a secret way. After such a quality lobby to the PCRM, the Liberal-Democrats do not have the moral right to accuse the others of betrayal,” said the leader of the PAD. In another development, Mihai Godea said that the national congress to constitute the Democratic Action Party will take place on November 6, starting at 11.00. More than 500 delegates from all the country’s districts and towns and partners and colleagues from abroad are expected to take part in the event.
