Paciu’s wife: Leave my dead husband’s soul and us with our suffering alone

Adriana Paciu, the wife of the man who was wounded mortally during hunting on December 23, wrote on a social networking site that he husband’s death wasn’t hidden, as many claimed. “How can some say that the death was hidden when we held a public religious ceremony and funeral, according to our traditions?” asked the woman. Adriana Paciu wrote that she is shocked by the impudence with which her husband’s death is used. “I ask you to respect our request – leave the soul of my dead husband and us with our suffering alone! Stop this farce and do not use the death of a bright man in your dirty plans and for rating! Be ashamed!” said the woman. “We have been destroyed by pain and asked at least for peace to mourn for Sorin, who departed this life so early… I can’t imagine how some can say that the death was hidden when we held a public religious ceremony and funeral, according to our traditions. We do not need persons with nothing holy in their acts to tell us what happened as these are stories invented by them in order to destroy other lives or who knows for what other purposes.” Adriana Paciu voiced hope that her message will reach those who started to spread this ‘dirt’. “Find other ways of struggling for power and leave the grieving families far from your games,” she said. Sorin Paciu died two days after he was wounded during hunting on December 23. The hunting involved prosecutors and judges, including Prosecutor General Valeriu Zubko, who was accused by politician Sergiu Mocanu in a news conference of committing the murder and of trying to hide this. Zubko denied these accusations. In this case, the prosecutors indicted the former judge and vice president of the Chisinau Court of Appeals Gheorghe Cretu, who is investigated for accidental shooting.
