The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Jean-Claude Mignon will be paying a working visit to Moldova on September 17-19. He will have meetings with senior state officials and will visit the Transnistrian region, IPN reports.

While in Chisinau, the PACE President will have a meeting with Head of Parliament Igor Corman. Afterward, the officials will hold a joint press briefing. The European official will also meet with President Nicolae Timofti, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, and Deputy Prime Minister responsible for the country’s reunification Eugen Carpov.

Jean-Claude Mignon will have discussions with members of Moldova’s parliamentary delegation to the PACE, which is headed by Deputy Speaker Liliana Palihovici and with representatives of all the parliamentary groups.

On September 18, Jean-Claude Mignon will give a news conference in Chisinau, while on September 19 he will make a visit to Transnistria.
