Owner of “Andries” camp sued
Children's ombudswoman Tamara Plamadeala filed a lawsuit over the case of child sexual abuse that occurred at the summer camp “Andries” in Ivancea, Orhei, in summer, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to Tamara Plamadeala, the evidence collected by the Orhei Police Commissariat and the conclusions of the psychologist confirmed that the minor was subject to sexual abuse, but no person was held accountable. On July 19, the Orhei Prosecutor's Office made an ordinance, saying no criminal case will be opened over this case as the actions of the 10-year-old boy, who abused the boy aged 7, do not contain elements of an offense.
“The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family should have ensured the rehabilitation of the victim of sexual abuse, but provided no assistance and protection. The dignity and honor of the minor and his parents have been damaged,” said Tamara Plamadeala.
The ombudswoman demanded that the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family and the owner of the camp pay 100,000 lei damages to the abused minor and his family.
