Over one hundred monuments to military glory were re-established in Moldova in the past six years
In the last six years, in Moldova there were re-established over one hundred monuments to military glory, completed the construction of the Serpeni Stronghold Memorial, renovated the Memorial Complex “Eternity” in Chisinau. This statement was made by Vladimir Voronin, at the opening ceremony of the Festival “Songs of Faith, Hope and Love”.
According to a presidential press release, the head of state said that “the people of Moldova piously remember the glorious past related to the great victory over fascism”.
The head of state gave assurances that “the state will further undertake concrete measures to offer the veterans the well-deserved support”. Voronin mentioned that he has recently presented in the Parliament a legislative initiative which provides a 50% increase in the quantum of the monthly state allocations for the participants in the Second World War and invalids.
The Festival ‘Songs of Faith, Hope and Love” has reached the tenth edition.
