As many as 8,685 children were enrolled in the first grade of educational institutions in the municipality of Chisinau for the 2024-2025 school year. The results were announced by the deputy head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sports Andrei Pavaloi at the end of the second stage of registration, IPN reports.

For the children who were not on the lists of educational institutions, a third stage of admission follows, the last one. During August 20-30, parents will be able to submit files in person to the institutions that still have available places. Detailed information will be published on the websites of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sports and the Chisinau City Hall. A total of 1,272 places are still available, Andrei Pavaloi said. The principals of the institutions that have more requests than available places will tell parents where they can enroll their children.

In accordance with the enrollment plan approved by the General Division of Education, Youth and Sports, this year it is planned to enroll over 10,400 children in 368 classes.
